I am downloading CF2018 30-day free trial from here

Download Adobe ColdFusion free trial | Adobe Coldfusion (2018 release)

Is it still like its been in the past where after the 30-day trial it automatically goes to a single user version?

Yes. It will become the Developer version. If I recall correctly, the Developer version allows about three different IP addresses for clients, but it's intended to be used by a single developer.

To add to what Dave Watts​ said, the developer version has all the features and robustness of the paid version, but things like PDFs created by CF will be watermarked as "created by ColdFusion Developer Edition".V/r,^ _ ^
