Hi Guys - I have a Coldfusion10 update 16 is running on standalone Linux server. I have 5 apps on this Coldfusion. Now I am trying to update the Coldfusion with update 23. When the command line prompts to enter the "Where is ColdFusion 10 located?" I provided and tried all the below paths and none of them is recognized by coldfusion./opt/coldfusion10/opt/coldfusion10/app1//opt/coldfusion10/app1/wwwrootI tried to reach support as we are on support contract, but they unable to help as the CF10 reached eol.-----------------Installation and use of Adobe ColdFusion 10 Update 23 requires acceptance ofthe following license agreement:The specified directory is not valid.Select the home directory of your ColdFusion 10 installation. When folks launch CFBuilder for the first time, a "welcome page" appears. Sadly, on the right is a "ColdFusion News" feed that has info from 2014, about ColdFusion Splendor (the codename for CF11) and Thunder (the codename for CF Builder 3).Can we PLEASE get someone on the builder team to correct that? And what's odd is that the 3rd item (as I see it) is indeed a link to THIS beta. Even if this was a reflection of those being the only 3 most recent items in some feed, why does it not show the MOST recent at the top? Then some may be more forgiving of the older items that would now be "below it".But really, there ought to be new content "fed" to that feed. If someone on the CF team knows (or if anyone else knows) where it's getting its feed, perhaps some of us could contribute content to get more recent content. 🙂BTW, some notice that you can click a button at the bottom of that screen to "don't show again" (or you can turn it off in Window>Preferences>

I am running the Shibboleth login service on my ColdFusion 11 server.  After I installed update 14 my Shibboleth login stopped working.  All I get now is a "Bad Request" error following Shibboleth authentication. I uninstalled the update which got Shibboleth working again, but now I am looking for possible solutions to this problem before reapplying the update.  I think it may have to do with the Tomcat update to 7.0.85.  Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hello.I understand that for marketing reasons only, Adobe has decided to limit concurrent CFTHREAD calls in CF STD to just 10 even though no such limits exists in the underlining Java.   Does this artificially imposed concurrent thread limit which is designed solely to entice people to give $Adobe$ more money for an "Enterprise" license also limit the number of concurrent threads in the DB pool to just 10?   As you know, with each DB request a new thread is started and it would blow if Adobe expected me to spend $8500 just so that I can have more than 10 concurrent DB threads.   I might be able to accept 10 concurrent CFTHREAD calls, but DB, well, gosh golly, that would just make me write my web app in Java and call it a day.

We are seeing more and more requests for reporting on static code analysis with regards to security specifically.  Since currently are running CF 2016 Standard Edition and the only way to utilize CF Builder's Security Analyzer feature is to have CF 2016 Enterprise (or a trial version of it which obviously expires).  Very frustrating due to the importance of this feature and also the lack of other tools in the marketplace to do this for CF code bases.Any chance we will see this in CF 2018 Standard Edition?

I have two dropdown lists whose contents are extracted from a database.But I would like that when I select a value in the first, the content of the second adjusts because according to the choice in the first list, I will not have the same elements in the second.illustration: display the department of a selected region. So I have a database with two tables, a table for the regions, a second for the departments. Let's say you have a component with a private property (a dependency) which will be injected into the component when it is instantiated.  Now, when you're working inside the component, is it considered best-practice to have getters and setters for private properties even when they will never be exposed outside of the component?  I've seen some examples online in other languages (e.g. C#) where dependencies are injected and then referenced without relying on getters/setters.  I haven't really been able to find a consensus on the optimal way to proceed when it comes to private properties.Here's an example of a simple component that has a dependency (dependencyExample) which exists as a private property. In this first example, I've used getters and setters which set the property when the component is instantiated (setDependencyExample()).  Then, when a method (doSomething()) needs to utilize the property, the getter (getDependencyExample()) gets triggered in

We are in the process of investigating an Oracle insert delay.  The page in question does two inserts into two separate tables.  The first insert completes immediately but the second query can take up to 3 minutes to get written to the db.Does CF receive any acknowledgement from oracle that an insert command was received or completed from Oracle?  It seems obvious that CF will continue to process code after the second insert which means that CF doesn't wait for the insert to be completed. Is it possible that CF is holding  the second insert command in a buffer due to server load or some other circumstances?

Hi,Upgrading to 64 bit ColdFusion 2016 and 64 bit 2016 servers.The current application (on 32 bit Cold Fusion 11, 2008 servers) allows the user to get a report and then download the report into Excel.When executing the report on 2016 and then requesting the report be downloaded into EXCEL, a login screen appears (does not appear in 32 bit version).Is there something in Cold Fusion 2016 administrator or on the server to not have the login screen appear?Thanks,Mike

Have a Windows 2016 server with IIS 10 running ColdFusion 11. Certain websites (with https://) won't load the default home page on iPhone and iPad only. The default home pages load great on all browsers on Windows 10, and even on a Mac in Safari and Chrome, but won't load on iPhone and iPad in either Safari or Chrome -- they just time out. If I put the name of the default page in the URL, it will load just fine on these IOS mobile devices, but if I just use the site's domain name, it will NOT load. IOS versions are up-to-date. If we set the default page to an html page it WILL load; if we set it to a cfm page it WILL NOT load.So the FAILING situation is in loading default cfm page on iPhone or iPad.I have come up with a workaround for this problem.I created an index.html file containing:<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL='https://domainname.com/index.cfm'" />and made index.html the default page for the website.I don't like it, but it seems to get things working on the iPad

Hi,I have a Cold Fusion 2016 at update 3 and I am trying to restrict access to the internal components (adminapi) and the administrator to the server itself so that no one can access it without logging onto the server.  I added the IP address of the server and local host.  It seems to have saved it but it still allows outside access.  The administrator is hosted on the local tomcat server at port 8500.My security team is insisting to lock this down but this feature isn't working.  Do I need to apply an update to fix a bug or do I need to restart cold fusion?

I have a page with a 40 question form and at the end of it, there is a submit button.Once the Submit button is selected the 40 form fields data gets inserted into to my DB and the user gets cf-located to another page.It works great. I've done this a million times.But now I need to add another button or image to the page that reads (Email Me Help) that when clicked willNOT REFRESH THE PAGE, as the user may still be entering into the formThat will pass 2 hidden values to a email.cfm page -  that email.cfm page will then send a cfmail to our support and they will reach out to the user.  Also, the button or image needs to change to alert the user that their "Email Me Help" request was sent.This is so when a user is filling out the form if they need help. They can click "Email me help" and we can respond while they still have the form open.I cant get the form to process without refreshing the page.I've tried iframe, but can't get my hidden values into the iframe page and I have tr

Whenever I am trying to search in the migrated website, its fetching an error. Investigating further it came to notice that on the source server Verity has been installed whereas on the destination server, Solr is used for collection.I have few queries as below:01. Can anyone help with completing a custom validation to compare a string that is all uppercase, alphanumeric, and will compare several strings that should be considered "not a valid product number?"  The three strings would start with letters as follows: IP000000, IF000000, and RL000000 (the fail statements should be specific and start with IP, IF, and RL).I'm still new to editing custom validations, and can take any help!  Thank you
