I have a ColdFusion 8 site that runs fine on an old Windows 2003 server that needs to be decommissioned. I’ve been able to test the site on a VMware Windows 2003 server image and that works well. I just install IIS, move the site folder into “C:\inetpub\wwwroot\” then install ColdFusion 8 and add one ColdFusion data source to an MDB file.I need to move it to a new 2012 Server and when I do the same as above on a Windows 7 32-bit or Windows 2012 Server 64-bit with ColdFusion 11 the default.html page that just opens the login.cfm page get stuck in a loop with the URLs flashing back and forth with an empty webpage.I know there are some issues with 32 vs 64-bit but I have the same issue in Windows 7 Windows 7 32-bit or Windows 2012 Server 64-bit but I think I'll have more issues if I can get passed this first one as the data source on Windows 2012 Server 64-bit fails the verify:Connection verification failed for data source: OMS-HAYWARD java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Dr
Hi everyone. I am trying to create some drop down menus where if you do a selection in the first drop down menu, the second drop down menu will display. I have this working on 2 drop down menus,but the problem I'm having is if I choose something out of the first drop down menu and then change my mind and want to choose something else, the page goes blank. If I change it to something else in the first drop down, it should display all the results in drop down 2 according to what I chose in drop down 1. It does do this the first time if I choose the correct thing the first time, but if I try to change drop down 1, the page goes blank. What am I doing wrong? Hi. I am setting up a simple form that will do some calculations to determine the price of something that we are going to cut and sell. First, the user will choose a part number. Then they will type in the dimensions they want in the X_mm and Y_mm boxes. I have a formula in Excel that has other factors for determining the price for the part chosen. There is the cost of the item, the cutting cost we are charging and some other factor. The formula looks like this in Excel: =((E3/(ROUNDDOWN(50/B5, 0)*ROUNDDOWN(50/B6,0)))+E4)*E5 I'm just wondering if I should do this calculation in Cold Fusion or SQL server management studio. We do not want the user to be able to see the formula either. Which way would be easier?Andy
Coldfusion is always including cf_flash_policy_port even though CFForm and CFGrid are set with format="html".How can I eliminate any reference to Flash and still use CFGrid? All, Just did a fresh install of ColdFusion 11 on a brand new instance of Windows Server 2012 Standard, 64 bit. Attempting to add a site, and getting an IIS error 404 2 1260, which is the sub_code for "ERROR_ACCESS_DISABLED_BY_POLICY" I have ensured that the user account connecting to the app from ColdFusion has the requisite permissions to the filesystem. Any insight or tips would be appreciated.Thanks,AJ
Where is the new license price for ColdFusion-11-Standard on Adobe's CF11 page? Adobe ColdFusion 11 FamilyI couldn't find it anywhere on Abobe's sites. I chatted with sales support and they sent me to the link above. I believe it's $1,499, but you should fix this unless there is some compelling reason to hide this price from the public.
Hi guys, I have a form page/processing page that takes data from a form and then inserts into a database/prints to a PDF via CFDOCUMENT with this on a submit button:<cfinput type="submit" name="submit" value="PRINT" formtarget="_blank" onclick="submitFormOkay = true;">It opens the generated PDF properly into the new tab as expected.My problem is, I can't seem to automatically reload the original tab/page...which has code on it that clears the session variables the form and gets it ready for the next entry.How can I launch this CFDOCUMENT in a new tab, and also refresh the original tab simultaneously?One note: The form page and processing page are the same, separated by IF/THEN's for program flow.Thanks in advance!T
I have two tables of events that I want to join in a query, schoolCal and newSchedules. Both have schedID and event. I would like them to order by the eventDate. Migrating from ColdFusion MX7 to ColdFusion 10 running on Server 2012. Scheduled task that work on older server are not working on new server. At the end of schedule task they write to an output file and all I get is Connection Failure.Through googling I found where you need to import certificate to keystore and I did all that but still get error.What am I missing?Thank you in advance,Leslie
So I realize that the new CF11 mobile features have been received with some very mixed reviews, but I wanted to try them out to see if I could use them for some really simple device detection, however I cannot get anything to actually work.For example, I am looking at the doc for cfclientsettings, specifically at the first example on the page under the "Device detection" heading. Can one use optional argument for a GET REST service? Hello, all,I've been working for weeks on a form that will (when submit) generate an Excel spreadsheet, then attach said spreadsheet to an email and send it off.Basically, once a form has been submit (and after the form data has been validated, server-side), my code takes the form scope, and uses <cfscript> with SpreadsheetNew, SpreadsheetFormatRows, SpreadsheetFormatColumns, SpreadsheetSetCellValue, etc., to generate an Excel object. Then, I use CFMAILPARAM inside a CFMAIL tag to set the object as an attachment, and place the email in spool.It was working flawlessly, last week (as of Friday, before I left to go home.) Suddenly, this morning (Monday), it is not working.I have not changed any code. Our SA has not updated, upgraded, or changed anything - not the physical server, not the Apache server, not the ColdFusion Server.The CF logs are showing one line, each: "The {log name} log has initialized." I upgraded to CF10 from CF8 and moved my websites over to the new server for testing. The main issue seems to be directory related. I built the applications in dreamweaver using developer toolbox to augment my code writing skills. That said, I can't get the admin pages to render, I only get the 404 or 500 error. The pages are there and the website itself runs correctly i.e. it pulls data and displays correctly. The update pages in the admin directory are the problem. I am curious if CF10 changes how it allows includes or directory structure.Website rootjakartaCFIDEincludesimagesadminmiscindex.cfmAdmin uses files from includes directory.... Works fine in CF8. ColdFusion 10 Enterprise server running on Windows Server 2008 R2.Scenario 1:Established new web site and pointed it to the CF site files, setup proper mappings in CFIDE Administrator, everything works perfectly. Scenario 2:Because I need multiple SSL sites on this server, I needed to move the CF site under the Default Web site as an app/VD. Created the site/app and pointed it to the same CF site files in the same folders. Created Virtual directory JAKARTA and pointed it to: C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig\1Accessing site throws 403. Analyzed some logs and traces and it looks as though it is failing on the ISAPI redirect or related file access thereof. Again, same files, same folders, one as website (works), one as Virtual directory/app off Default Web Site (does not work). We use the cf binaryencode function to convert a binary file to a base64 string that then is inserted into a coldfusion structure. Following an installation guide from Adobe, I installed ColdFusion 11 Developer Edition on Windows 8.1 that has IIS 8.5 installed. I've all the required features for ColdFusion enabled on IIS 8.5 as shown in this figure.The installation created a virtual directory CFIDE in IIS but it did not create the physical directory the virtual directory points to. In IIS when I click on the virtual directory CFIDE created by the ColdFusion installation (or CF Web Configuration tool), I get the following error:I then re-ran the ColdFusion Web Configuration Tool to first remove the IIS configuration and the add it again. But still the same issue. How can I remedy the issue? Thanks..Nam
