Hello-I upgraded my Windows 7 to Windows 8.01, and after up gradation Coldfusion services are missing from windows. i.e I have to start Coldfusion services Manually by going to C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\bin and run the cfstart.bat fileAny idea to resolve the issue. ThanksRegardsTayyab Hussain

I've been successfully using Salesforce's api till they made the switch to SHA 256 algorithms about 2 weeks ago (HTTPS Security Certificate Change from SHA-1 to SHA-256 hash algorithms). I know that coldfusion 8 is capable of supporting sha 245 hashing, but I've had no luck connecting to salesforce objects. Where exactly do i need to implement the SHA 256 encoding? I am trying to fix a number of issues our company's platform has with an integration with Adobe Connect. One that has me perplexed is intermittent failures with the login method. I have a report (CF10) that exports to an excel spreadsheet. Sometimes one of the fields needs extra height to show all the data. When this happens only the field needing the height expands and I need the entire row to grow taller.For all the fields:Under Fields and Properties under the Formatting section I have Stretch with Overflow set to True. Under Print Control I have Print When Detail Overflows set to True and Stretch Type set to Relative to Tallest Object.What am I missing?

I have a ColdFusion variable which contains a URL:For example, it looks like <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XXXXXX" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>.What I'd like to do is replace the width of "640" with that of "450" and the height of "360" with "253". I'm passing a string into an "if" statement which will change the variables if the conditions are met. I CANNOT change the variables before making it a string. I must change the variables.What is the best way to do this in ColdFusion? We currently have ColdFusion 8 Standard installed on a server running Red Hat Linux 2.6.This server is going out of service and we have a new one that is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.6. I have been told that Coldfusion 8 will not run in this environment so we will most likely be purchasing and installing ColdFusion 11 Standard.In the system requirements for ColdFusion 11 it states: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.X (up to version 6.5).Does anyone know if I will have any trouble installing and implementing it with Linux Server 6.6. I am looking for a helpful start (key words or even phrases) to begin understanding what it takes for a web site to give auto notification to an app on iOS and Android. I hope that wording is understandable, but in short how can things that happen on my website be automated to send the data as information to phones apps. Is this handled via web services? The way I was imagining it was like a site that a user (contributor) interacts with to let you know some feedback from another contributor is needed. The user (contributor) would then interact with the site and a phone application would instantly notify the other contributor. I was thinking this could be instant (as fast as servers can work). Installed Cold Fusion 11 standard, on window 2008 R2 and it will not serve up .CFM tags that are not in the root directory of a web site

Hi all,I would like to know if a ColfFusion 9 website (installed on Windows Server 2008 R2) can authenticate to Domain Controllers that run Server 2012 R2. I have a ColdFusion 10 Enterprise server setup with a number of instances and a bunch of websites all accessing a shared codebase using IIS 8.5. After running wsconfig to setup the websites for ColdFusion it adds the *.cfm handler mapping in for each instance and site just fine. I'm attempting to use the application.cfc onMissingTemplate function to implement SEO friendly URLs with ColdFusion. When I create a page and position objects with CSS style attributes ColdFusion debug info which is placed after the closing </html> by the server, is not pushed to the bottom of the page.  It is displayed as a background to the html objects, above background image, below HTML.  Is there a fix for this?  A server setting or CSS or HTML snippet that will force the debug info to the bottom of the page?ThanksBill

We are experiencing an issue where our users are being intermittently logged out of the website. This issue seems to occur directly after the initial log in to the website. After a user logs in, they click a link, then are redirected to the login page again. We are upgrading from CF 9 to CF 11 and we were not seeing this issue in CF 9. There are two main things that I've noticed when this issue occurs. The GetAuthUser() call is returning an empty string (for the user that was logged in with cfloginuser) and part of the session has been removed (as if a structdelete was performed on a variable in the session struct).Is anyone able to help with this problem?

I run a small call center where a small group of employees log into an authenticated ColdFusion web site.  The purpose of the web site is to poll an Access database every 30 seconds, and any consumer asking for information (having submitted a lead from a web form that posts the customer info to the database) is then promptly contacted.  At this point the process is conducted using an index page that refreshes (every 30 seconds via a meta refresh).  But I am wondering if this is a scenario that would be better served through the use of web sockets? I must say that web sockets is a new technology to myself.  And upon my attempts to learn more via examples on the web, I find that the typical example consists of a web chat interface.  That too is intriguing to myself, but I am most concerned with at this time with a means to better implement efficiencies to the index page.  I estimate that 4,000 queries are made every day against the Access database.  It

I haven't touched ColdFusion in probably close to 5 years and I'm totally lost on how to manage the application server.  I have a friend who's server is getting hacked quite viciously right now.  They have uploaded a shell using a ColdFusion administrator exploit.  They have nicely hidden the shell, so I'm unable to locate it.  Previously I would search for all instances of CFEXECUTE in *.cfm pages and I would find it quickly and remove it.  I would like to disable CFEXECUTE all together, but the hackers have mangled the ColdFusion Administrator to the point that when I go to the security tab, I am redirected out of the Administrator all together.Is there a configuration setting in an XML file perhaps that I can adjust to disable CFEXECUTE or is the setting in the ColdFusion Administrator the only option?Thank you for any assistance anyone can offer.

I am new to this but I am confused and have an easy (hopefully question). My company is going to create a blog. Then we would like to put that blog into our company site, which is already developed in ColdFusion. We would like to use Blogger or Wordpress, but are open to other options as well- depending on what will work with ColdFusion. In CF 9 you could go into the Admin and remove wsdl's.  It seems the only way to clear wsdl cache is to restart the coldfusion instance.  is there a better way?

Hello, all,Earlier, I had asked a question about methods not being found in components.  haxtbh‌ pointed out something that I had skipped over (I was in a hurry) in the documentation - that 'private' methods (even within the same CFC) cannot be referred via the "this" scope.  I changed all of my methods to be called via mapping (ie, "components.componentName().methodName(args)") and most of them work!  However, I've got a few that aren't being found, even with using the mapping.  I really do not want these methods to be pushed into "public" access; I would much prefer that functions called from within the same CFC be private.  Any suggestions on what could be causing these to not be found?V/r,^_^

i have just a rudimentary knowledge of cf but i want to create a backend for a coupon website. i need it to allow people to register, then post offers and edit and delete them. surely the code is out there, or at least a template. hostek is my host and i use phpadmin for my databases. any suggestions? lee
