Can any one help me out giving a good example to understand when should I scope a query result sets in a session scope.‌

I installed CF11 on a CF9 machine (Windows 2008 R2 Standard).  The website running on CF9 is fine but I can't get to the administrator.  It says the file isn't found and does not exist.

Hi,in CF10, I'm trying to print barcodes with ttf barcode fonts inside a PDF document generated with the cfdocument tag. The barcode is generated, but with wrong spacing.The code printing the barcode is quite simple:<span style='font-family:Code-39-25-DMI;font-size:32.0pt;letter-spacing:0px'>*BKUM70709997B*</span>This is what it should look like:cfdocument renders the barcode like this:The spacing between the individual barcode characters is wrong. The "letter-spacing" CSS option doesn't make andy difference. Any idea for a solution?Regards, Richard

Hi,We have a time clock (time tracking) web application that I need to change the user authentication from a traditional username/password to a fingerprint scanner.Has anybody done this before and is willing to share some insights?We are willing to pay somebody too.I've looked around and could not find a whole lot of information. I have login code that has worked perfectly for years. It still works in development, but has stopped working in production. The only change has been a recent "upgrade" to ColdFusion 11. Here's what's happening.User logs in.SESSION.login is set.User moves around from page to page and finally clicks a link that's formatted like so, "/admin." (The entire site is configured in IIS to use index.cfm as a default document.)SESSION.login (along with a number of other session variables) disappears so the user is take to the login screen even though he/she has already logged in.Now, if I change the link in step three above to be "/admin/index.cfm." then the session variables do not disappear and the user is simply taken to the page like they should be instead of being prompted to login again. I have no idea why the elimination of the directory's default document the link would trigger ColdFusion to purge session variables (especially when it's always worked fine in the past), but it does. Hello.I'm currently running ColdFusion 9.0 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.  I need to uninstall ColdFusion altogether so that I may reinstall it.  My ColdFusion came with an 'uninstall' directory, which contains the file "Uninstall Adobe ColdFusion 9.exe".  However, when I try to run this program, I get a JVM error.  I've tried running this program as adminstrator, as well as updating my JVM to the newest version (in the case that it was a version mismatch).  This hasn't solved anything.I then turned to the "Programs and Features" section of the control panel, where it shows an "Adobe ColdFusion 9" instance.  But, when I try to uninstall here, I get the message "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Adobe ColdFusion9.  Please contact your system administrator."  I am logged in as the administrator, and am able to uninstall other programs.Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,

In the contact us page, I set the session variable to 1 (for yes the user has turned off java script). I recently migrate code from a CF8.01 instance to a freshly installed/updated CF11 instance. As I was going through some testing I ran into an issue where the "setter" methods within a CFC are not setting the values of the locally scoped instance data within the CFC. The exact same code works on CF8. I read a couple articles which made reference to a new attribute of the cfcomponent tag (accessors=true) that will implicitly create getters/setters. I am not using this attribute so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I have an order form where my buyers can add items to my form. I am using a loop that adds an extra line when they add a new product. I am storing the info in two different mySQL tables. The first is alll of the personal info, the second is the items. THe personal info saves correctly. A ColdFusion 8 project was running under Windows server 2003 which was upgraded to Windows server 2008.The project has frames and client variables stored in the registry.After the Windows upgrade, a few users have had client variables disappear. The variables are assigned and displayed in a template in a frame but lost after being submitted to another template in another frame.The users get an error that "element xx in undefined in client".What are possible causes and solutions?

Hello -We have recently migrated about a dozen sites to a new server running Windows Server 2012 R2 and ColdFusion 11.  Everything seems to be working correctly except for .cfr pages.  IIS throws a generic 404 when attempting to access pages with this extension.  We have the Jakarta virtual directory setup correctly and our file mappings also look to be correct.  Allowing the app pool to run 32-bit applications changes the error from a 404 to an internal server error 500.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

Hi. I have a field in my SQL database that is an integer field. When I try to use this field in my form, it only allows whole numbers to be entered. How can I allow numbers with decimal points to be entered? The field name is called Eng_Hrs. I've been successfully using Salesforce's api till they made the switch to SHA 256 algorithms about 2 weeks ago (HTTPS Security Certificate Change from SHA-1 to SHA-256 hash algorithms). I know that coldfusion 8 is capable of supporting sha 245 hashing, but I've had no luck connecting to salesforce objects. Where exactly do i need to implement the SHA 256 encoding? I have a report (CF10) that exports to an excel spreadsheet. Sometimes one of the fields needs extra height to show all the data. When this happens only the field needing the height expands and I need the entire row to grow taller.For all the fields:Under Fields and Properties under the Formatting section I have Stretch with Overflow set to True. Under Print Control I have Print When Detail Overflows set to True and Stretch Type set to Relative to Tallest Object.What am I missing?

I'm passing a string into an "if" statement which will change the variables if the conditions are met. I CANNOT change the variables before making it a string. We currently have ColdFusion 8 Standard installed on a server running Red Hat Linux 2.6.This server is going out of service and we have a new one that is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.6. I have been told that Coldfusion 8 will not run in this environment so we will most likely be purchasing and installing ColdFusion 11 Standard.In the system requirements for ColdFusion 11 it states: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.X (up to version 6.5).Does anyone know if I will have any trouble installing and implementing it with Linux Server 6.6. I am looking for a helpful start (key words or even phrases) to begin understanding what it takes for a web site to give auto notification to an app on iOS and Android. I hope that wording is understandable, but in short how can things that happen on my website be automated to send the data as information to phones apps. Is this handled via web services? The way I was imagining it was like a site that a user (contributor) interacts with to let you know some feedback from another contributor is needed. The user (contributor) would then interact with the site and a phone application would instantly notify the other contributor. I was thinking this could be instant (as fast as servers can work).
