the notice about the upgrade scheduled for the end of April refers to a locked down environment. How do I know if we have this? As compared to what other kind of environment?  Thanks to anybody who can explain this.

Can you share the text of the notice you are receiving? This is probably referring to the need for an updated Add-in for the meeting rooms, if you use the Add-in.

Sure thing. I got the following email (which I put in quotes just below) from Adobe on April 11, in which it refers to a locked down environment.

    Dear Adobe Customer

This message is regarding your account: moody.adobeconnect.com

The Adobe Connect Team is pleased to inform you that your account will be upgraded to Adobe Connect 9.6 on April 30, 2017 (8:00 PM PDT) to May 1, 2017 (02:00 AM PDT). For those customers in a locked down environment, please note and prepare for the following new requirements:

This update will require a new Adobe Connect Add-in (henceforth referred to as simply "Add-in") for functionality specific to meeting presenters on Mac only. You will be asked to install the new Add-in when:

You try to start/join a meeting for the first time after the Adobe Connect 9.6 release and have an older version of the Add-in installed

    OR

You invoke screen sharing, application sharing, or share PowerPoint (PPTX format) files and do not have the new version of Add-in installed

Please click here to obtain the new Add-in. You will need add-in version 11_9_979_366 . If you have any questions, please contact Technical Support Team

    Sincerely,

    The Adobe Connect Team "
