Adobe Connect add-in crashes when I attempt to share screen in Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2

The Adobe Connect add-in crashes when I attempt to share screen (Desktop) in Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2. I receive the error message with the heading "Adobe Connect Add-in has stopped working". The message says, "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only button that I can click on is "Close program". I made sure that the screen resolution is a multiple of 16 ("1280 by 768 pixels"), as this article says. I am using Adobe Connect 9 with the "Named Host Pricing Model". Does anyone have the solution to this issue? Thank you.

Not sure what would be causing the issue, but Vista isn't a supported OS, for what it's worth.

Adobe Connect Technical Specs

I would suggest that you uninstall and re-install Flash Player and see if that helps Uninstall Flash Player | Windows.

It doesn't sound like the screen resolution is the issue, as you have addressed that, so it should be something else. I would also recomend you check your video drivers to see if there is an update, as that could help.

OK, if Windows Vista is not supported, then I should not have brought up this issue. I am not going to bother to get this to work. Thank you very much.

I'm not trying to push you away from trying to get it to work, just letting you know that if you call Adobe, they may not be of much help with a non-supported OS. You can also try using a different browser (which may or may not make a difference with the add-in), to see if there is a different result.

I do think that uninstalling and reinstalling Flash is worth the effort to see if that resolves the issue.
