Question

Adobe Connect audio and video through HTML5 browser

Hi all,

Based on the following URL we can see HTML5 should support Audio and Video:

https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/adobe-connect-html5-capabilities.html

But for some reason we do not have the video option yet. Additionally the audio has a very annoying tick in it, while the audio is fine when using the Application.

Does anyone know how to upgrade to 10.8? Or how can we fix this?

Regards,

Nika.

The HTML client allows participants to see webcam video from Presneters or Hosts, but cannot yet broadcast their video image.

10.8 should resolve this as part of that release is expected to be Host and Presenter functionality in the HTML client.

VoIP audio has been a significant point of improvement in the HTML client through Connect 10's life so far. I would expect 10.8 to have further improvments in the quality and stability of VoIP audio.

Yeah, that's what I read here and there too. How can we get the upgrade to 10.8?

Wait, lol. I believe it is expected to start being pushed to Hosted accounts next month. However, you can always put your account URL in the widget on this page, https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/connect-downloads-updates.html, and see if there is an official date for the upgrade on your account.
