Adobe Connect audio strangeness

Am using a USB headset on my Macbook Pro.   My Adobe Connect environment is suddenly 'splitting' the audio, where the student voices come through my laptop speakers, but the audio from the music pod is coming through my headset.   This behavior comes and goes, though my 'sound' definitions in Mac OS X explicitly choose the Plantronics headset.   How do I debug this?  Thanks in advance.

‌This is an easy fix. Leave the Connect room and adjust your Sound Preferences before re-entering the virtual room.
