ADOBE CONNECT: Difficulty enabling single speaker

We are navigating ongoing audiable voicemail disturbances during Adobe Connect webinars. I have tried to navigate around this by choosing AUDIO > enable single speaker, although I do not have that option as a host in my Adobe Connect room. Any thoughts on why I cannot enable this function?

Thanks!

Single Speaker Mode is a VoIP setting. It sounds like you are using integrated telephony, and that setting wouldn't apply.

Most integrated telephony solutions have an option called something like Lecture Mode that allows just the Host on the phone bridge to speak, but it varies from provider to provider. Some provider's integration provides this feature in the Audio menu, and some required you to use the phone commands to enable it.

It is also worth noting that most providers have the setting that requires people joining to press 1 to join the call. This prevents the dreaded voice mail situation. I'd recommend you reach out to your provider to see how to enable that function on your phone bridge.

    Jorma_at_CoSo thanks for your reply.

Ideally we'd like to resolve the voicemail issue and not need the work around using the Enable Single Speaker mode. Right now all users are instructed to have the AC system call them. Often for an unknow reason at least 1 users phone doesn't register the call and it goes stright to voiemail and is heard throught the meeting, which of course is highly disruptive. Is this voiemail issue something I as a host can resolve or do I need my AC admin's assistance?

    Thank you!

You need to talk with the teleconferencing provider. This is a setting on their end, not an Adobe Connect setting. Do you know which audio provider you are using?

The audio provider I use has a setting as follows that can be enabled or disabled, but requires the user to press 1 when the bridge calls them. If this is on, then there will never be a voicemail on the line, as it will never press 1.
