Adobe Connect Freeze up

I need help for adobe connect. I'm an online student and recently my school switched from WIMBA to Adobe Connect. I had no problems with this set up until yesterday when it wouldn't allow me into the classroom. It just froze up. When I tried to download a new version it said an error had ocurred. I got on using my phone, which is Apple and my computer is Windows. I can view the archived classes but couldnt get on the live classroom until the session closed. I did uninstall java, so I'm not sure if this is why it finally worked. I tried calling adobe support and the tech gave me a line of baloney about my computer being corrupted and he would fix it if I subscribed to a plan which would cost me 250.00. Needless to say I hung up. If anyone has an idea why this ocurred and how to fix it, I would be most appreciative. Thank you.

Hi bennyhanahan,

Sorry for the truoble here with connect.

By Connect got freeze if you mean Adobe Connect Add-in?

you can enter in the room by apending ?launcher=false after your meeting room url.

also could you copy the screen shot which you are getting while installing the add-in.

I don't know Adobe Connect, but isn't that rather connected with Flash Player than Adobe Reader?

Anyway, I found a connection test that you can use to diagnose your system, with troubleshooting tips: http://na1cps.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
