Question

Adobe Connect will not allow presenter to share their screen

Hello,,

I need your help.

I had to cancel a virtual Photoshop users group meeting last week because Adobe Connect had some problems with allowing our presenter to share his screen.  By the way he was using a Mac OS.

We could hear him but Connect crashed every time he tried to share his screen.  We tried on every browser to include Safari. Opera, Firefox and Chrome.  His bandwidth was impeccable for a home user at 63 megs/sec .

Any suggestions and help on this would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much for taking the time to assist on this.

    Hi StephenBurns,

    Appologies for the inconvinience !!

Is the isue still persissts. In order to understand/investigate  the issue it will be good if you could provide some more details like : what add-in version you are using and OSX version.

As you mentioned its crashing everytime with screen share, As a workaround can you try to share window/Applicaiton or try changing the screen resolution till we reach to the depth of the issue.

Are you using a Hosted Account on connect or on premise?

    Thanks

    Nikhil

    Hello Nikhil,

Thank you so much for your help on this.  I have some questions:

What is the "what add-in version" that you are referring?

We have tried sharing only our applicaton as well but the results are the same.  I tested Adobe Connect with him a week before the presentation and it worked just fine.  On the day of the meeting it gave us grief.  We could hear him just fine in that he was connected but we could not share his screen on all browsers to include:  Firefox, Chrome,Opera and Safari.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Hi Stephen,

What i was referring by " Addin Version" is to know  if the prblem seems to be any latest addin version or it will be good if you try it out on latest addin.

you can check that by launching the room and  :

    a) click on Help on top right in the room

    b) click on About Afobe Connect

this will tells you the connect as well as addin/Fp version .

    thanks

    Nikhil
