All content missing from downloaded connect videos

I have a 24 minute video in connect that I am trying to make offline. Playing it in the application, it looks and sounds perfectly fine. When I download it to my desktop via MP4 , the downloaded video shows as being 0.00 minutes long. I've downloaded all of my other videos via MP4 and not had an issue. Sometimes when I try to open it, I get an error message that "this file is already in use," when I know it isn't. I can't use the FLV option because I don't have anything on my computer to play it, and since it is a work computer, I can't download anything else to try to play that format. Any ideas on what the issue is and how it can be fixed?
