Question

All hosts are demoted after 5 minutes once I leave the Virtual Classroom. Can license expand?

The reseller doesn't think this is possible. As the license holder, I can run two virtual classrooms simultaneously but I have to be in the rooms at all times in order for my hosts to not be demoted to participants. This is true no matter how I have set up the room and how I have designated the meeting hosts. I don't see how it is not possible to correct the license--we are willing to pay. We just need hosts to be able to view and rehearse our trainings before the actual events take place.

    You may need to puchase additional licenses. 

    Yes, your license will allow you to run two sessions, but this is intended to allow you to have sessions that are  back to back or overlap slightly. The legal descritpion that you should have recieved from the reseller in your quote or invoice states the following:

    Only one meeting can take place in a virtual classroom at any given time, and the Virtual Classroom Manager must be present in the room for the room to be accessed. Named Virtual Classroom Managers must be individuals, not groups or generic logins, and a Named Virtual Classroom Manager license cannot be shared between more than one individual.

     

    A license holder mush be present in the Virtual Classroom or it will not function fully. As you noted, all users will be demoted to Participant and the room will close. So, if you need them to view and rehearse trainings before the actual event, be there for the rehersals.

    Thank you Jorma–we often have as many as three concurrent sessions with different hosts and I'm trying to identify the best license to allow sessions to be hosted concurrently. We've requested to increase the number of named virtual users to three but our sales rep doesn't seem to know how to make this happen wiht out existing license--will we need an entirely new single license that allows this, or would we still need multiple licenses?

    Not knowing exactly what licensing you have I'll probably not be able to give you an exact answer, so I'll try to cover all bases. And not to throw salt on a wound, but this is the whole point of a reseller... 🙄

    If you are using a Named Host licensing model (Named Hosted, Named Virtual Classroom Manager, Named XXX Webinar Manager), then each license is for a named account to create and run sessions leveraging the functionality of that licese. If you need more than one person doing that activity, then you would get a license of each individual. So, if you have three concurrent sessions, then 3 named liceses would be appropriate. Adobe often has a minimum of 5, but your reseller may or may not be able to get around that.
