Audio Input Not Working with External Mic

I am trying to record lectures in Adobe Connect Pro to be archived for students. I'm recording on a MacBook Pro with built in iSight camera. I also use a headset for audio. I am able to engage the built in iSight but it will not record via the external line in audio input. This is what I do know...
1. Nothing is wrong with the headset. I'm able to record audio using the headset mic in other programs.
2. I've set the MacBook's internal sound settings to external line-in.
3. In Adobe Connect, using the Audio Set-up Wizard, I've selected "builit-in input"

Still....no audio in! Please help.

Thanks

Did you use the Audio set up Wizard to make sure that connect is listening to the right device? Mac's are known to have many options for audio and video input, sometimes you end up using choices that are not intuitive. I sometimes use an IMac, and understand the frustration with just going down the list of potential A/V inputs to find the right one.
