Audio issue only in Connect Pro

Any help is appreciated!

A couple weeks ago I was showing one of our presenters how to use the software and in the middle of training her on Adobe Connect Pro, my audio half stopped.  I was still able to hear her and others logged in, but no one could hear me.  Everyone else was able to hear and talk without problems.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash, I've tried logging into other rooms, I've tried Firefox 4.0 vs. IE9, and i've made sure I have all the plugins installed as adobe popped up with them.  I've also tried recodring on sound recorder (outside of Adobe) and have no problems.  I even tried to restore back to a restore point on my pc that was a couple days before the problem started.  I don't have any problems on another computer, so it's obviously something on my PC that's conflicting with adobe.

When I use the Audio setup wizard and reach the sound recording part, the blue bar is immediately solid instead of moving with your voice.  When i stop recording and play the recording, it's silent.

Again, this was working and stopping in the middle of workign with someone else in a room.

Any ideas as to what I can look for to resolve this?

Thank you,

Juanita

    Hi Juanita,

Just be sure once again, did you check the volume in the following dialog:

"In the main menu bar there is a mic button. To the right of the microphone button, click the drop down menu button, and choose Adjust Mic Volume".

    Thanks,

    Rajesh

    Hi Juanita,

What connect version is it, C8? Are you able to get that connected green mic icon in top bar?

If yes, could you check the set mic volume using the dialog which comes on clicking the option in mic button drop down?

    Thanks,

    Rajesh

    Hi Rajesh ,

Yes, C8 (we use hosted services). I do have the green mic, just no one hears when I have the mic clicked on (green). Mic volume is good and I don't have any mutes set in or out of connect. Others stopped hearing me in mid sentence (so setting weren’t changed at the time it stopped) and I haven't been able to get it to work since on my computer. I've tried other mic's and other logins from my PC -s ame result. Same results in every room I’ve tried from this PC.

When I use the Audio Setup Wizard, on the test recording section, it acts as though it's recording something loud and constant. Instead of the blue bar jumping with your voice, it stays maxed out the entire time you record your test. When you stop recording and play it, it’s silent or you hear a slight ringing like you hear with an open mic at times.
