Question

Automatic login

I have trainers that login as a host on one computer and a guest on another computer so they can monitor guest view. Recently, we noticed there's no longer the option to login as a guest as the system seems to remember the last login and automatically log in. Anyone else notice this change?

I'm pretty sure that feature is this check box:

Which gives the meeting application permissions to hold on to a session cookie with a very long life so you can join meetings in your account, using the desktop app, on that computer, without having to login in over and over. I don't believe that option should translate across multiple computers.

Strange. It may require working with the Adobe Support folks. I'm a bit behind the curve since I'm still using 11.4.5, but I'll see if I can do some testing on a C12 account.

@Jorma_at_CoSo I found something when looking at the enhancements on this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/release-note/adobe-connect-12-release-notes.html.

It looks like there's a new option that's only supposed to work when the "Remember me" feature it checked.

    • Sticky login: Registered users can choose ‘Remember me’ in the native application to save time joining in future.

We don't have enhanced audio setup yet as we need interactive recordings, so we don't have the "remember me" option. However, it seems we're getting this feature.

It sounds like their browser still has a session cookie that Connect sees as valid. This would allow them to join the room without logging in again. Is is possible that the user is syncing their browser cache between their two computers? Maybe that is why it logs them in automatically on the other device. If they try in a private browser window or in a different browser does it behave as expected?

    Hi Jorma,

Thanks for the feedback. We've tried removing all browsing history and tested on several other computers and everyone is getting the same response. This was brought to our attention for the first time yesterday. We are stumpted!
