Breakout Room share linking to main room

I facilitate breakouts (usually more than 1) during a session in Adobe Connect.  When we transition through slides in the main room, we land on a slide with discussion questions for a breakout.  Participants are moved into the breakout rooms and the rooms layouts are set up in advance.  However, once the breakouts are started, the slide they see is the first slide in the slide deck, not the one we left off on in the main room.  The share pod is the same in the breakouts and the main room as the correct slide deck is up but the slides are not advancing within the breakouts. Currently, I'm having to go into each breakout room and manually advance the slides before I start the breakouts so they are seeing the discussion questions/directions.  This is a fix but is creating more work and forces me to leave the main room which can be an issue if the presenter asks a question or runs into an issue during this time.

Is there a way to have the slides linked between the breakouts and the main room so slides transition in the breakout rooms as they do in the main room and the correct slide appears to participants when they arrive in the breakout room without having to manually advance?

Thank you!

Yes, but it takes a little set up on your end before your class starts.

When you go into the breakout rooms, the Share pod with the presentation will likely have the PPT slide deck's name at the top followed by - Breakout X. If you see the designation of the Breakout room, then it is an instance of the share pod that is unique to that breakout room, and not the instance you are seeing in the main meeting.

To change this, you can hide that Share pod instance and then go to the Pods menu, then Share > Your PPT. This will open the same instance you have in the Main meeting room. Do this for each breakout.

A word of caution, the individuals in the breakout room will have Presenter level rights to the share pod and can move and mark up the slides in the Share pod. So you may need to tell people to be well behaved.

Alternatively, you could create a new Layout in your room (probably call it Breakout) and then upload just the desired slide(s) to that layout. Then you could have the breakout rooms share that version of the presentation or load that instance of the presentation to the breakout rooms, and that way the individuals would only be able to navigate through the selected slides specific to breakout rooms.
