C++ Runtime Error when trying to open Adobe Acrobat

When I try to launch Adobe Acrobat 6.0, I get the following error:

Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I've tried every fix I could fin on the Web including reinstalling the program.

Does anyone have a sure fire fix?
