Can Auto-Promote be engaged during initial Meeting Setup?

We have usually gone about setting up our meeting as to where the Host can set the option to Auto-Promote Participants as they come in once the Meeting has been started. What we were curious of was wehter or not this setting could be set and remain so that anyone accessing the link would be Auto-Promoted without the Host being present. This way we could send the link to the requesting parties and they could send out to whoever they needed to in order for them to interact on their own free time without IT involvement. Any response would be a great help. Thanks!

Since this is an in-room setting, it cannot be turned on when creating the room, or when managing it server side. However once it is turned on it will remain on until the host turns it off.

I have rooms that I use for support purposes, which almost always needs the users to have Presenter rights for screen sharing, so I just leave the Auto-promote on all the time.

Thanks for your reply Jorma,

If I set this setting within the room as (Host) will that setting remain engaged? Even if I re-use the link a few days later between 2 other people, neither of which will be the host, will the Auto Promote that I sat earlier still Auto-Promote them? or will i have to log into the Webinar as Host in order for them to be Promoted?

Thanks again for your time and effort.

The auto-promote will remain engaged until a Meeting Host disables it.

So long as you have Concurrent User licensing, the individual should be able to join the room and be promoted up to Presenter.

I have my test room set up with the auto promote on http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com/openroom/. You should be able to join, and will see that you have Presenter Level rights.
