Can I force client window to open not as full screen

When I join a connect room, the Connect client opens on my machine, and takes over the full window. Is there a way to tell it to only use 1/4 of the window, for example? (or to save the last size I adjusted the window too)?

Something like Microsoft Excel for example...when I open that, it doesn't take over the full screen.
