Can't log into a meeting; after having upgraded to Windows 8.1

Keep getting an error message suggesting I trouble shoot

    Can you be more specific about the error message? Have you tried using a different web browser? Have you gone to your troubleshooting page to see if something comes up?

    I have been on 8.1 since it's release have have faced no issues using Connect on FireFox and Chrome.

    It does not open up to the meeting room,   a page comes up saying:

    Check our troubleshooting page for further assistance.

    I go to the trouble shooting page; and it is the all inclusive "Info World" on Adobe Connect; not specific enough to be of help.

    Did step 2 fail? If it did you can click on the Send Email button and then there is a Details... link that you can click on to see the actual results of the test. Posting those results may help if there was a failure.

    Try appending the room URL with ?launcher=false and see if removing the add-in solves the problem. If it does, you may want to just uninstall and reinstall the add-in, as it may have had something happen during the 8.1 upgrade process.
