Can't view recorded webinar

Hi All,

Trying to view a recording of a webinar and I keep getting told I need Adobe Connect Add-In. I downloaded it and got one of the admins to install it (no admin access for me).

Chrome insists I don't have it installed, while IE 11 says "The protocol specified in this address is not valid. Make sure the address is correct and try again".

Any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue?

Thanks

For Chrome, you may need to enable Flash. Here are the steps: Enable Flash Player for Google Chrome

With IE, well, try Edge or FireFox. You can make sure that IE has the most current version of Flash, but I don't know that that will help.

The Add-in shouldn't require Admin access to install, if your browser allows Flash.

Thanks, I can't install Firefox because no admin access, and we're on Win7, so no Edge.

I finally found a test page for the add-in which says I have flash in Chrome, but don't have Flash in IE, which is weird. It also says the add-in isn't installed, so I suppose I'll try to get IT to install it again - maybe it installed to the admin user account rather than mine.

It's really frustrating how difficult this is (it would be so much better if the webinar content was actually just help topics for the application :S  ).

Oh, I see. When they say "You need Adobe Connect Add-in" what they actually mean is "You have 'Ask first' selected for Flash plug-ins and we don't work with that, so you have to "always run", or set an exception for Adobe webinars".

So if you don't always want to run flash content but want to watch recordings of adobe webinars, you need to add the following text as an exception:
