Captivate and what Connect Level?

I like what appears to be the ability to tour students through a Captivate lesson in synch and then let them work individually. From what I understand, that will be the e-learning level that has an integrated connect LMS. What I am wondering is there an integration with the LMS, Moodle, that we already have so there can be single sign on and no need to manually enroll all those students into the Connect LMS to get those features?

If anyone can share details and tips for using interactive Captivate content in live classroom sessions, please share. This is where our keen interest is. We have a large K-12 subject area library of content we would like to integrate into making live session very experiential and fun.

    Tammy,

Adobe Connect has an open API which allows it to be integrated with most LMS platforms, though it takes a bit of technical know how to get it done. However, there are a couple of groups that provide integration with Moodle. You can talk to them and see if they can provide a solution that works for you. The three that I am aware of are:

eSyncTraining - Live online Adobe Training Classes and Web Development Courses

    Connect-2-Moodle - Refined Data

    MeetingOne LMS Integration

As to bringing Captivate content into a Connect live session, you have two options. If you just want to have Captivate presentations play both in synchronized and un-synchronized (interactive) modes, but tracking the student interactions isn't important you can just use Connect Meetings. If you want to also record the student's interactions then you'll want to use Connect Virtual Classrooms. The two options function almost identically but the Virtual Classroom allows you to pull Captivate presentations into the room as a Training Course, which tracks the user interactions and whether they pass or fail (if that is part of the presentation.

    Does that help?
