Captivate Question

I created a captivate presentation with animation and when I record the audio I am unable to advance the animations when I want.  It seems like they advance all at one time.  Also, on some slides that have animation the audio pauses and requires the user to use the fwd button to make the audio/visual work.  help!

You might get more help in the Captivate forum instead of the Connect forum, but I will jump in here.

When you add a button, it will be added to the stage and the timeline. Look at the timeline and notice that there are two parallel vertical lines somewhere in that button's timline. That is a built in pause to wait for the user to click the button. It sounds like it is located too early in the slide for what you want. Hover over the double parallel lines until you see an arrow. Click at that point and drag the pause as far to the right as you can if you don't want the pause to stop until all the timeline animations are done. Alternatively, you can use the attributes panel and look for the place where you can typine in the time you want the pause to be at.

I am thinking that may also be the cause of the other things you are seeing. Try this suggestion and see if it at least gets rid of it pausing too soon. Then we can tackle the other issues over in the Captivate forum.
