I am wondering if there is a way and im just missing it, but i dont seem to get much more then a small window popup for 3 seconds to let me know that someone typed something in.

can we change it to last longer or stay there till you click on it?
can we make it so that it flashes the minimized window like many other IMs do?

    Hi Hawk,

I don't really think this is possible. I haven't seen this feature anywhere in the platform. You probably know that you can use Flash in the Share pod. A way around the problem would be to use another flash-based chat in the Share Pod.

Great question! Notification settings can definitely be improved for better visibility—especially in environments like a mothers room pod,  where you might miss quick popups while multitasking. It would be super useful if the alert stayed until clicked or if the minimized window flashed, like traditional IMs. Hope this gets added soon!

mmmm... This sounds like a bug or something. Normally speaking a user will type in the chat pod and hit enter once the user hits enter the text will either appear in the chat pod or in the Q&A pod (depending how you set it up). But like every other IM the text remains there the whole time (except when you respond to the questions in the Q&A pod, once you answer the question it goes to the Chat pod).

I think you might have to elaberate on the problem that you are receiving i.e. is it going to the chat pod or to the the Q&A pod?

Alright let me see if I can explain further.
I have created a meeting room, it has a Chat pod and a list of attendees nothing else so in essence just a simple chat room.
I have to minimize the entire meeting room window from time to time as currently the traffic is slow.
When the adobe window is minimized and someone types something in I only get a small window popup in the lower left corner of my screen, it dissipates after about 3 seconds (have not timed it exactly).
This is what I would like to do, either change a setting that makes that small window stay open till I maximize the adobe window, or to change the time it stays open to me much more.

Think AIM, yahoo, meebo.com, msn, etc.
