Connect mobile app loses audio anytime I connect my microphone

I am using the mobile connect app on a Motorola Droid turbo 2. Everytime I connect my microphone in a meeting I lose my audio while using Bluetooth. I understand this is a feature to prevent feedback on the mobile app, but the issue is that it doesn't restore sound when I disconnect the mic. I have to restart the app. This isn't helpful in an interactive meeting. This happens on every Bluetooth device I use. On the PC app, there are options to select different mics, which I had to use on my Windows tablet while using Bluetooth headphones. I had to use the tablet microphone. But on the Android app, I don't see that option. It works fine when I am not using a Bluetooth device, but then I can hear the meeting because I'm in a slightly noisy environment. There issue seems to be with the way the app is using the Bluetooth, it seems to be connecting as a phone call, rather than just using the audio features of the phone. I need help fixing this because I need to be able to interact effectively in the meetings I am attending and if I can't use Bluetooth than it is worthless. Has anyone had similar issues and had anyone been able to fix it?
