Connection Issues with Audio in the room and Microsoft Teams

When our users connect to the Adobe Connect room via the link, we ask that they have the meeting dial out to them so we can use the breakout rooms. The company has recently started using Microsoft Teams for our phone. When having the meeting dial out, the users are getting more than one call back, echoing and not being able to connect.  We cannot use VoIP since we use breakout rooms. Anyone else have this issue?

thanks

Donna

Donna,

Just currious why you can't use VoIP in the breakout rooms? Breakouts should support VoIP or integrated telephone audio, but not a mix of the two.

Soft phones can cause some odd problems to chase down, as they don't always work exactly the same as traditional phones.

Multiple call backs is an odd issue and may require further investigation.

Echoing could be due to the computer not having any audio duplexing. This is the solution that phones use for speaker phone functions to ensure that the audio coming out of the phone is not retransmitted back through the phone. Hardware based audio duplexing works well and is in place for all phones that have a speakerphone function. Sofware based audio duplexing is not all that reliable and in my experience has only worked kind of OK with Skype. Most other applications don't really do it at all (Connect included).
