Defining Visibility of Fields in a Curriculum

Is there a way to control what fields are displayed to the student in an Adobe Connect Curriculum? For example, "Curriculum Starts On" or "Curriculum Closes On" are not always needed for the student's view. Is the only way to resolve this to create a custom curriculum outside of Connect and pull the necessary info from Connect via Web Services?
