Document downloads on IPad app

Hi all, 

rencently started using connect on my iPad but I have found an issue when downloading documents from the app to use in Microsoft office. If I download on the app, they won't open on docs, but if I download them from the web browser, they work fine.

Ive tried renaming files with correct pathways, but nothing seems to work when downloaded from app. Does any have a fix or should I just use connect on browser?
