Does Connect 8 supprt MS Word docs?

In Adobe Connect 8 do you still need to convert MS Word docs to PDF format otr will Connect 8 support MS word files?

    Adobe Connect automatically converts PPT/PPTx and PDF when shared in the Share Document POD. MS Word is not supported as a format so you do need to convert to PDF or use the Share Desktop option to share your screen and MS Word itself.
