Question

Easiest method to do annual training with same content

We have a number of training curriculum that all employees need to retake each year. The content is Powerpoint with Presenter and a quiz as part of the content. When each trainee completes their training, the curriculum goes into a "Review" status for them. What is the easiest way to allow all users to retake this training and get a new training record? We don't want the old one removed. Do we need to create a new curriculum for the new year and add the same content? One of the big time sinks with this approach has been reenrolling everyone as we have thousands of trainees that need to take them.

Suggestions for making this simple?

I would create folders in the training library for each year, so duplicate courses are not confused, and then either create training groups or admin groups that you use to organize the individuals that need to take the training. That way in year 2+, you just need to enroll the group, saving time and effort.

    HI Jorma,

Thanks for your quick reply. Creating a folder for each new year's training is something that we have done in the past. For enrollment, we are an on-premise deployment so we sync with our Active Directory. We are pulling daily in new employees and contractors. We don't have an easy way to know when a new person is added, so that we can manually add that person to the groups. Ideally, we are trying to automate the creation of the employees Group List in Active Drectory, so that it syncs to Connect. Then we would add the group to the curriculum once and it would be kept up to date. Unfortunately our IT email  group that is responsible for AD does not have the time to build this script.
