Edge servers on hosted server

Hi,

Hope anyone kows something about this question.

When I use an Adobes hosted server in Europe (EMEA) and have participants from different parts of the world, are they connected directly to the EMEA server or to the nearest Edge server? If they are, is there any map or information available about how many edge servers there are in the world and where they are located for the hosted service?

    Hi John,

Well, that's what I thought. I just wanted to have it confirmed that there are Edge servers all around the world that are used on the hosted service. Thanks for the tip anyway about the latency test. For each participant you say, does that means I can click on a participant in the participant list and then on the meter in the upper right corner? hmmm...I will try.

I don't think Adobe will provide a server location map. For security reasons that would not make sense.

However you can make a latency test for each participant from within the meeting room. Click on the small green area in the upper right hand corner - in the meeting room - to get the connection status.

First latency number is a ping for the edge server. Second latency number is a ping for the Origin server. If msec are the same or close - you are most likely connected directly to the Origin server.

This is the best way to test the connection for each participant. If msec are over 500 you will get a poor meeting experience.
