Editing a ConnectPro recording

I know you can time-crop a recording, but can you really edit it? We want to repurpose 3-5 minute clips from our webinars in another area of our website, while preserving the full recording for others to access. We'd like to focus on just the PPT pod, cropping out the chats and camera/voice pod. Is this possible? We've tried Captivate and SnagIt, with nearly disastrous results. Help! (We have an enterprise hosted account.)

    Debren, sounds like you are trying to offline the recording?  if you are, as it was mentioned above max the sharepod, but also size the playback of the connectaddin, meaning size the playback to be 640x480 before you offline.  the offline method does a screen scrap to a the flv file as it is playing.  the quality is not all that great.

    another idea would be to use camtaisa or jing (same company that makes snagit) to record, again size the playback.  you can get jing pro for $15/yr, it will record up to 5min and to mp4 or swf i think.  using an audio patch cable from the speaker to mic to capture the audio

    another idea if you have access to Adobe Presenter, it comes with the licensed Connect, not sure if Hosted Connect. since you are only doing the PPT, would be to download the PPT from the uploaded content of the meeting if you do not have the original PPTs and use Presenter. Capture the audio from the playback using the audio patch cable.

    Adobe Presenter is sold as a stand alone product and is not included with Adobe Connect.  It can be licensed at the same time as Adobe Connect but it is not included for licensed or hosted customers usually.  Most of the time Presenter is sold along with Adobe Connect as one deal but to be clear these are sold seperately.  Adobe Presenter licensing changed after version 6 so that may be where the confusion is happening. Presenter is created by a different product team than Connect as well.

    Hi there,

    The request seems to be very interesting but unfortunately its not possible, But it can be achieved at the time when you are Recording the meeting , Click on the Full screen option of the share Pod and then you will get only the share pod being recorded. Please revert in case of any question.
