Editing a Recording

I just edited a recording that has a PPT along with a person speaking.  I deleted a few spots and it seems to have misaligned the talking and the slides.  Is there anyway to avoid this?  Could this just be how editing works?  Thanks for any comments!

That shouldn't happen. However, keep in mind that how the edit feature works in Connect, is it tells the playback to skip a portion of the recording. I could see how when the jump happens, the re-loading of the presentation could lead to a sync issue, but I wouldn't expect it.

When I have had audio issues post-edit with recordings, I've just restored back to the original, and then re-edited the recording. Sometimes the first edit doesn't quite go as planned.

Are there any recommendations for recording?  Record using mircophone on PC via VOIP vs. using telephony?

    Thanks

Not really. It all comes down to preference and the speakers level of comfort with the options. I have found that most people are more comfortable with using a phone than a headset/mic on a computer, but the end result should be the same in Connect.

If you are dissecting the recording pieces later (downloading the source files for the recording) and using them to edit or create alternate versions of the recording, the phone may be easier, since it embeds an MP3 file for the audio, as opposed to an FLV that has to be massaged to get the MP3 out of it, that is created when using VoIP.
