embedded videos in power point

I'm am new to Adobe Connect. I have a PowerPoint with some embedded videos. Do I need to upload the video mp4 files separately and run them outside of the PowerPoint I upload to the documents pod? Running a MacBook Pro with Mojave 10.14.6 OS
