The two conditions that I can see leading to this are:

  • Jon Doe is really a registered user and has Host rights assigned to them for this Meeting in Connect Central and they were demoted to a Participant after they joined the room.
  • Jon Doe, as a guest user, was promoted to a Host in the room at some point and then demoted themself to Participant.

In either workflow the end meeting button remains at the top left of the room. If you didn't go through one of these two workflows, you may need to reach out to Adobe Support to see if there is something else causing this scenario.

Thank you very much, Jorma. That helped me.Then I will be more careful with promoting participants in the future. I thought the extended rights disappear immediately after the demotion. That is not the case.

In most cases users don't need full Host rights. You might see if just making them a Presenter gets them access to what they need.

As a side note, it does look like Adobe has recognized that the 'Red Button of Doom" that ends the meeting is being modified in a release later this year to no longer default to ending the meeting. So improvements are coming!
