Error uploading to the "content" folder in adobe connect

Hello

I am trying to upload content to a folder and continue to
receive the following error, I have tried changing the name of the file and
title of the fiel when I upload and have no idea why I keep receiving this
error. The file is a valid file that is a zip file output from Captivate and
the process I follow is to do the following

  • Create the playback and all necessary edits in
    Captivate
  • Publish the Captivate file
  • The output is a zipped file which we then upload
to the “Content” folder in Adobe Connect
  • We then set up a course in the “Training folder”
and then link to the “content” we uploaded to the “content folder” in the step
    above

The error is:

"Your content is currently being processed. Thank you for your patience"

I have seen this error before, and have no idea what
triggers it, now that we are giving the member firms access to only their specific
folders, it would be helpful to know why this happens so we can be proactive in
preventing instead of spinning wheels when it happens. I have ensured that anyone requiring access to upload, download is added to the authors folder.

Kindly note despite the note below, the file never uploads,
as I mentioned I have seen it before and had to try so many things to get the
file up, but I prefer to know the direct cause so we can avoid in future.

Please help!

Got It! I will ask my stakeholder for the original file to see is this is possible and if it works. Typically we ask for the publ8shed captivate file so that we don't have to do the extra step of publishing and then creating the course to create self sufficiency in the company.

It' a baffling case and I have escalated to adobe.

Did you try to publish directly from Adobe Connect instead of publishing to the file first?  This might help with your issue.

Hi Thomas,

I have a playback that is edited in Captivate with certain interactivities such as quiz and knowledge checks so this isn't an option. It's possible to do as my company does it all the time, I just can't decipher why you sometimes get an error message. Thank you though.

Adobe Captivate and Adobe Connect are actually built for publishing directly to the Adobe Connect database, to include all quizzes, knowledge checks and even simulations, games etc.  This should work very well.  Otherwise you might need to call Adobe Connect support or your reseller.  Do you know who you work with?  Without looking at the content it is difficult to troubleshoot and I apologize as I haven't seen your issue before.
