Garbled Video when Displaying Desktop

Has anyone ever seen distortion like this when trying to share your desktop?

If you can't make it out - it's the top edge of the persons desktop icons repeated vertically down the screen.

Any ideas?

    Is your customer using Linux?

    No they are using Windows XP.
