General Product Question For Beginner

Hello,

I was thinking of purchasing Adobe Connect Enterprise Server 6 and had a question regarding licensing, but didn’t want to receive the hard sell from an Adobe representative.

I wish to deploy Adobe connect on a single server behind a firewall and with an estimated on/off access of around 200 users. Does anybody use it for a similar scenario? If so what additional features have you decided to use and how easy has it been to integrate?

Most importantly for me, on a cost basis, how does the licensing work for the product itself and the additional add-ons, is it a per user cost or per instillation?

All very basic questions, but I thought I would dip my toes in the water slowly  Any comments would be most helpful.

Thanks

First, I can guarantee there aren't any Adobe reps lurking in here to sell you something - resellers, perhaps.

There are literally hundreds of installations in the 100-400 user range, so this scenario for 1 Connect server is well tested. The licensing itself is also easy math, an upfront free for the server, and a 20% M&S agreement for each year following. In a lot of cases, a licensed purchase can be more cost effective then a hosted in and around the 24-30 month mark, it all depends. The server itself is just the platform, so to speak. You will need to purchase licensing for meeting rooms, presenter licenses, etc. Again, all of this usually beats-out a hosted purchase around year 2-3 because you're not renewing the cost of the products each year in a licensed install, only the 20% M&S.

This forum has to be the most rubbish forum I have yet been on. I am not simply rubbishing it for the sake of it. I really mean it.

It shouldnt even be called a forum. Slightly rubbish mail board maybe.

    Thanks
