How can I use a webcam 50-70 ft from the computer?

Can I use a normal USB camera 50 to 70 feet from the computer? If not, is there a camera that will interface with Connect Pro via coax cable or something else that can go farther? Is there a how-to anywhere to point me to a better camera setup than just a plain webcam, it would be nice to get a better picture and to be able to control focus and zoom even if I had to do it manually. We have a meeting room with a podium, I'd like to mount a camera in the ceiling to point at the podium but it's going to be a good distance from the computer in the corner of that room.

There are active (they have a little bulb of electronics in the cable) USB extenders that will let you use at least four 15 foot long segments of USB cable to extend your web cam. They have worked well for me. About $20 each.
