Is the Add-In a wrapper?

When I get a flash update from Adobe, does that impact the Connect Add-In?  Does it need to update if it is sharing the Flash that was installed with the latest update?  I am trying to 'wrap' my head around what the Add-In really is....

    The add-in is not tied directly to your Flash Player. So if you get a FP update, it doesn't mean your Connect Add-in needs to be updated. The Connect Add-in is an application that gives enhanced functionality to the Connect Meetings. At this point the big items that the add-in provides are:

    • Screen Sharing
    • Drag and drop for loading objects into the Share pod
    • The Meeting will display in it's own window, instead of within the browser.

    The add-in only needs to be  updated with newer versions of Connect. Currently you can download and install the Connect 9.0.2 Add-in, which will work will all versions of Connect 9.

    Thanks Jorma.  Good to know.  I presume that each time it starts it checks to make sure you have the most current version?

    So if you aren't screen sharing, then it calls on Flash to display pods, etc. just as it would if running in a browser?  If so, then I can think of the Add-In as a substitute for the browser window that gives us an environment that can do screen sharing, hide the Add-In frame, better audio, etc., right?

    FWIW, I have had the Add-In window lose the menu bar along the top (while running in full-screen view) and I couldn't get it back. The only way to get out of it (since I had my taskbar configured to hide) was to right-click and have the Flash settings window come up.  That apparently changed the focus so the taskbar would reappear.  But then the only out of the Add-In session was to terminate it with Task Manager.  (I tried ESC to see if it would bring back the window and it wouldn't, so something was clearly hosed.)  Unfortunately, I can't find a way to reproduce it (it has happened more once).  If anywone has had this happen, please reply.  Maybe we can find the common denominator.
