Question

Making offline old recordings - no mp4 option and flv doesn't download properly

We have a self-hosted Adobe Connect 9.5.7 system and are having problems downloading older recordings (prior to 2012).  The make offline option doesn't include the mp4 option and when downloading as an flv file it acts like it is downloading but the flv file does not have video.  I don't want to have to zip them all and then reconstruct them.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

*** Edit *** ^^ Good to know.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the Add-in, as that is what gives you option for MP4 and FLV videos. You should see this dialog before it begins to make the video recording on your computer:

It should be noted that there isn't an option to download an MP4 or FLV version of your recordings from Connect. They must be created. If you don't want to do this on your local computer, you can look at 3rd party solutions such as http://www.esynctraining.com/mp4-service

It sounds like you added /output/yournamehere.zip?download=zip to your meeting recording URL, which will pull down the source files for the Connect recording, but they are not usable files for creating a stand alone video of the recording.

Hi,

Thanks for asking this.

This is a known architectural limitation.  I sense the old recordings were created during 7.5 era and since than architecture is changed.  Due to which videos are not available in the offline FLV's and no MP4 option are available for these recordings.

The offline process will not work for these even if we zip them and re-upload them to the Connect site.

Thanks,
