Question

Microphone Mixer with USB Output for Connect? Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a mixer to which I can connect my professional Shure

microphones and that has a USB output that can be seen by Connect as a

live microphone? Someone recommended a mixer by a company called Presonus

but it doesn't work as advertised. For some bizarre reason, only one of

its four microphone outputs are seen by Connect. Very odd, and the

manufacturer has not been very helpful with support. Can anyone recommend

another from a different brand?

I am running RME babyface, which is an excellent sound card with a good on screen mixer. It has a steep learning curve, but it pays back. It is powered buy USB (> vers 2) and delivers stereo output with two mic phantom powered inputs. If you need more input channels the same company delivers bigger models. Excellent stuff.

    Good luck

And how does Connect see this? As one input? Are you connecting via USB? Can Connect handle stereo audio?!?

Connect does not handle stereo, and Connect will "see" your output from Bafyface as two microhpone inputs comined (1+2). The mixing you will do on the TotalMix software deliverede with the sound card. Does that makes sense? br Knud
