Microphone not Working

Hello. My built in mic works with all other apps apart from Connect. In the setup device and test the mic records nothing. It is detected but, when I go into settings to configure the mic mutes automatically. Ive tried everything from updating drives to restarting the laptop. It is:

    I run into this problem with my webinar speakers all the time and it is so frustrating. They will say the microphone is not detected, but inform me that it works on other platforms and calls. It's usually a permission isuues. If you are using the application, you need to go into your computer settings and make sure that the adobe connect app has permission to access your microphone. If you use a browser, you need to make sure in the browser settings that the microphone permission is on. I say all this, but sometimes, we still can't igure it out. It's been frustraing ever since the update in February.
