I have mp4 recordings that have been uploaded into Adobe connect.  My clients can only view these recording if they use edge or internet explorer internet browsers.  I have found an article (See below) on a workaround but there are no steps.  Can anyone help me out?  I need to be able to have my client's view these recording using chrome since chrome is the recommended browser for my companys product.

Playing MP4 Video in HTML5 from the Adobe Connect Content Library

If an MP4 does not immediately playback in Adobe Connect using HTML5, or if it queues the client for an installation of the Flash Player, a quick workaround is to append /output/sample.mp4 where sample.mp4 is the actual name of the MP4 file being shared.

For example, using my video of my daughter’s Mozart Flute Concerto posted at: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/eliza/

Where the MP4 resource file is named: 20180506_162153_good1.mp4

The URL playback workaround is: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/eliza/output/20180506_162153_good1.mp4

Note: To find the name of the uploaded MP4, look under the Download Content tab in Adobe Connect Central:

So I figured out how to get it to play in chrome when you are using the content url the only downfall doesn't record the number of views on it.  So theres one issue.

Second, is I use this content in the event management and create on demand content that is listed in our catalog.  This workaround doesn't work for that, any ideas???

Sadly, I think the real answer is that Connect 11 will be the fix. While Flash support is ending in 2021, the companies that create/own the browsers have taken it upon themselves to make it harder and harder to use Flash content prior to the end of 2020.  So, while we may may find work arounds in the mean time, they are just that until all Flash components are removed from Adobe Connect.

The other solution is to use an application that creates an HTML based media player as a wrapper for the MP4 video. This can be an Adobe product such as Presenter or Captivate, or a third party tool such as Camtasia or something else. Then you upload the zip package of the output from one of those tools and you get a Flashless playback experience with reporting.

If you go to the download link, as Frank showed in the article, you can copy that and remove everything after the mp4 file name. It would be something like this that should be removed from the end of the example link above

    ?download=20180506_162153_good1.mp4&OWASP_CSRFTOKEN=4c71dba033aea693899824acfec638fdef61d9f0bb0cb295d05df22ba2f05d53

Where the full downlod URL would look like this http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/eliza/output/20180506_162153_good1.mp4?download=20180506_162153_good1.mp4&OWASP_CSRFTOKEN=4c71dba033aea693899824acfec638fdef61d9f0bb0cb295d05df22ba2f05d53

Here is a screenshot of my download link. I guess I'm confused when you say to copy and remove everything after the .mp4. Help me please.....
