My mini control panel is missing when I share screen

I've got the 11.9.98 version of the add in, and am on a Mac running OS 10.13.4

I used to be able to coax the mini control panel by selecting the Connect icon in my dock, but that seems not to work anymore.

How can I view my Connect mini control panel or my Connect window (so I can see comments) while I share screen?

I was able to circumvent the issue by disabling the Mini Control Panel in the Preferences, under Screen Sharing
