No Sound via firewire from Sony DCR-HC52

We just started steaming seminars live from our conference room and have a small technical issue. Adobe Connect does not recognize the microphone of our Sony Handycam through the firewire port. The video works fine. Is there an updated driver or 3rd party piece of software that will enable the microphone to be seen by windows and Adobe Connect?

It's a Windows issue. If you don't want to install third party software or hardware, you can take the audio out from your camcorder and feed it into your computer, of course.
