On a MacBook in Audio Setup Wizard when I click on Next - the window disappears and nothing happens

Trying to set up Adobe Connect for my daughter and want to check the Headphones. I can't test it as Audio Setup Wizard is not doing anything. The Adobe Connection Test is done and also the Connection Speed Test. I then click on Configure Audio and in next pop up click 'Next' ... all this does is close this pop up and nothing else happens.
