Option to alert/blink with new message?

Is there an option for some type of alert when a new entry has been made on the chat?  In an environment of multi-tasking, hoping there is some type of alert similar to other IM applications.

    Connect 8 Chat pod does flash when you receive a private chat but does not have any indicator for regular messages at this time.  I'll forward the suggestion to product management.
