Participant Audio - can it be on by default?

I would like to have participants log onto an open LIVE meeting without a host present. Setting the pod option to allow all partipants to have audio doesn't work unless everyone is already logged in. Why can't participants have audio by default when they log in?

    Turn auto promote participants to presenters on in the Meeting menu.

    The problem in doing this is that people can change what slide is being displayed if they are a presenter.  They can also minimize pods.  I'm looking for a feature enhancement that when a person comes into a web session, they maintain their role, but audio is on by default.  The option that turns audio on for all people only works for those in the web session and not for those still entering.  It makes it very difficult on the host to keep granting audio.  Can this be added as an enhancement request for a future version?  Let me know if I am not clear on what I'm looking for.  Thanks!
